Brandon Sanderson is one of contemporary fantasy’s most talented authors and The Stormlight Archive is shaping up to be his magnum opus. No review could do this book (or entire series thus far) justice and provide the praise is deserves, it was meant to simply be read and taken.

Expectations for Oathbringer were high following the perfection of and increasing quality between The Way of Kings and the second book in the series Words of Radiance. It’s more than just a grand adventure, there are themes and discussions interwoven into the politics, characters, and world revolving around oppression, sexism, duty, honor, love, loyalty, and ethics that every reader can resonate with.

The stories are layered, characters complex, and the grand picture becoming larger, morally complex, and more pressing as this series continues through it’s many plots, twists, and world development. Every fantasy fan should invest in this ongoing series. Actually not just fantasy fans, everyone should pick up the The Stormlight Archives – this is a classic series in the making.
